Honeygrams S'mores Bars

September 9, 2014 / by admin / 1 Comment

I grew up in the country where Friday nights meant bonfires, roasted hot dogs and s’mores.

Since going gluten free, it’s been hard to recreate those childhood memories of making s’mores by the fire without a tasty graham cracker.  Let’s face it, a melted marshmallow on melted chocolate with no graham cracker creates a big mess.

In comes Schar to the rescue with their delicious Honeygrams graham style crackers.  While summer spent in New Hampshire opened doors for yummy fires and s’more making, living in New York City full-time doesn’t lend well to building campfires.  Usually it winds up with your neighbor calling the fire department and thinking the whole block is going to burn down, so I decided to get a little creative to enjoy my s’mores year-round.

Meet the Honeygrams S’mores Bars

These s’mores are perfect for your little one’s birthday party, a summer BBQ or just a unique dinner dessert that will bring everyone back to their childhood.  Plus, they are super easy to make without a big mess.

Although it’s eight o’clock in the morning, I’m calling this meal ‘a research breakfast’ for future s’more-like desserts.
