Grilled T-Bone Steaks

Approximate cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 (8-oz) t-bone steaks, 1 1/2 inch thick
  • Pinch salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch garlic powder, to taste
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  1. Bring steaks to room temperature. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  2. Rub steaks with oil and season liberally with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Place steaks on grill and cook, covered, to desired doneness; turning 3 times and rotating 1/4 turn each time. This will give you the diamond shaped grill marks. For medium-rare steaks, cook 17-19 minutes total cook time. An instant-read thermometer should register 130-135 degrees. For medium, cook approximately 20-22 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 140 degrees.
  4. Allow steaks to rest 5 minutes before serving.
