Who else can say today’s top allergen-free food authors and bloggers handpick every meal they eat each week and double checks the ingredients for gluten without forking over a fortune?
Let’s be real…
Going gluten free can be exhausting. Spending hours and hours at the grocery store reading labels, always stressing about cross contamination when you really just want to order lunch from GrubHub or Seamless instead of leaving the office or brown baggin’ it, and…let’s not even start talking about having to turning down those mozzarella sticks during happy hour!
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with Celiac Disease or have been living gluten free for a while, you might be frustrated about all of the unwanted calories that are actually crammed into those gluten free cupcakes others think are ‘must be so healthy because they are gluten free.’ Not to mention, the patience it actually takes to cook something from scratch. I mean who are you, Betty Crocker? No way, you don’t have the time to dedicate to discovering delicious, gluten free recipes that are nutritious and easy to make.
But sometimes you need a little help from someone who’s been there and ate that….
Here is the problem:
You either are brand new to the gluten free diet and don’t know all of those pesky hidden names for gluten yet or you’ve been eating the same ‘safe’ meals every day and are sick of just eating plain meats and veggies, instead of enjoying food like you used to and are tired of sacrificing taste for ‘gluten free.’
I’m Jenna, and my gluten free journey started 2009. Not by choice but because I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. That wasn’t my first experience with gluten free though. Life is crazy and as someone with strong faith, I believe everything happens for a reason. In 2006, I had an internship with a Celiac and Allergen Free Cookbook author, who taught me a ton about living gluten free. Then my mom was diagnosed in 2007, and then I was diagnosed in 2009. The rest is history. Anyways…
Each week Real Plans handcrafts gluten free (plus dairy free, paleo, AIP, and more) meal plans for you, so you don’t have to struggle with what to buy while spending hours upon hours at the grocery store reading the ingredients in everything you ‘used to’ eat before you went gluten free to try find the products that are safe for you to eat.
But these aren’t just some random people trying to teach you how to thrive on the latest fad diet. Personally, I’m passionate about advocating for Celiac Disease and the gluten free lifestyle and have traveled over 10,000 miles for Celiac Awareness. The National Foundation of Celiac Awareness even named me a “Celiac Awareness All-Star” from hosting the first Celiac Awareness Day with the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team.
I’ve also been a guest speaker at the Celiac Disease Foundation’s National Education Conference & Gluten Free Expo and the NYC Celebrate Celiac event. I’ve even participated in a panel discussion at Natural Products Expo East to help retailers understand how to add a dedicated gluten free section to their storefront without making some of the biggest mistakes like whole wheat pasta ended up in the gluten free section…YIKES!
For years I ran my own gluten free meal planning membership program, and to be honest – I got burnt out! It was hard to keep up with the demands and various diets and food allergies and sensitivities, so I decided to shut it down.
A few years ago, I learned about Real Plans, a totally customizable meal planning service that syncs with a shopping list and an app being curated from the top food allergy bloggers, authors, and chefs. I was sold!
When it comes to customization, you can:
- Choose Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Paleo, Vegetarian, AIP, GAPS, or Whole30 meal plans
- Remove specific ingredients that you are sensitive to like eggs, nuts, nightshades and more
- Adjust the plan for how many people you are feeding each week
- Plus search for recipes based on main ingredient, prep time, tags, cuisine and origin
You want to spice up your meals. You’d like to experiment with food again. You’d like to eat more than just salad and grilled chicken all of the time. You’d like to spend less time wondering what’s for dinner, and more time enjoying your life. Well I’m here to tell you that you’re allowed to have it all – gluten free, quick and TASTY. And Real Plans will show you how.
No, Real Plans isn’t free, but it’s well worth it—and I’m not saying this just ’cause I’m a partner and affiliate of Real Plans. Subscriptions start at $6 a month and you won’t just be getting a meal plan.
